Respecting each other’s time
When you book an appointment with us that time is set aside for you. We work hard to be ready for you when you arrive for treatment, so in return, we ask that you keep your promise to us and show up for your appointment on time.
Please understand that massage therapists are only paid when they deliver a service, therefore, missed appointments are costly, but most of all it prevents us from offering our time to other clients.
With that said, our policy is simple. If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment, and you have not notified us a minimum of 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the treatment as booked.
In the event that you are not able to keep your scheduled appointment with us, please contact us by PHONE a minimum of 24 hours prior to your appointment. If you do not reach us, please leave a voicemail. If we do not hear from you within this time frame, and you don’t keep your appointment, the above policy will be applied.
*Note: We recognize that there are circumstances that are out of your control, so your therapist may make an exception to the above policies on those rare occasions.
Initial visit includes – history intake, assessment and massage treatment
Subsequent sessions include – brief consult and massage treatment
All taxes included
Payment accepted: Cheque, Credit, or E-transfer
Extended Health Care Coverage
Since the majority of extended health care plans cover registered massage therapists, you may be able to obtain reimbursement for some of your treatment costs. As each plan is different, we recommend that you check with your plan for details on your coverage.
Premium assistance patients are entitled to 10 visits per calendar year that are partially covered by the Medical Services Plan (MSP). MSP will contribute up to $23 per visit. These visits are combined with all supplementary health care providers. Because our clinic is opted out, we bill our services at the clinic rate, payable at the time of treatment. We will then submit a claim to MSP on the patient’s behalf for a reimbursement of the above rate, which will be sent directly to the patient.
We accept RCMP and DVA claims. With a doctor’s referral and authorization by the insurance plan, all claims are covered for RCMP and up to 15 one-hour sessions for DVA patients per calendar year.
Treatment for injury sustained following a MVA (motor vehicle accident) is automatically approved by ICBC, and can be received at any time while your claim is open. A doctor’s referral is not required for the first 12 treatments following a MVA. However, treatments beyond 12 up to 20 do require a doctor’s referral to continue treatment.
We at White Rock Massage bill out at our clinic rates for treatment, so it will be your responsibility to receive full or part payment back from ICBC. You will need to talk with your adjuster to be clear on what they will cover for your claim, throughout treatment and at settlement.
